We should find our gods in art.

And find religion in music. Or painting. Or poems.

And our temples should be galleries, museums, libraries.

Or maybe a garage.

And our prayers should be practice. Our sacrifice, sweat.

And if your prayers are perfect, the gods will speak to you.

Like they spoke to Beethoven. Picasso. Tesla.

And like all gods, these gods will make promises too.

They'll promise you sleepless nights, losing loved ones, even losing your mind.

But they'll also promise you creation.

They'll let you witness the birth of new music.

Never heard before, in an eternity of existence.

Something out of nothing, isn't that what gods do.

But unlike other gods,

These gods,

will deliver.
